Madame YU Lu, Vice President of CFNA, spoke for IPC on behalf of the global poultry sector during FAO‘s International Symposium on Reducing Antimicrobial Use Pathways and Sustainable Development of Livestock.

YU Lu presented IPC’s global work to reduce antimicrobial use, including:
• Who IPC is and the role of the global poultry value chain
• Our timeline of action on antimicrobial stewardship
• IPC’s principles on responsible antimicrobial use
• Best practices to reduce the need for antibiotics in poultry production

Madame YULu also contributed to the panel session on Good Alternatives and moderated the panel “Unlocking Investment: Who Pays for Change and How.”
This discussion brought together partners from FAO, the African Development Bank Group and government representatives to explore pathways for sustainable livestock development.

Lastly, IPC proudly accepted a RENOFARM New Member Certificate, reinforcing our commitment to collaboration and responsible antimicrobial stewardship.
