🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of Global Poultry Leadership: 2005–2025 🎉

Today, we proudly mark the 20th anniversary of the International Poultry Council. Two decades of advancing the global poultry sector, elevating dialogue, and forging unified solutions for Food Security, Trade, Sustainability, and Animal Welfare.

From its founding in 2005 in Cologne by leaders from the EU and the U.S., IPC has grown into the unified voice of the global poultry sector, representing more than 75 % of global poultry meat production and 90 % of global poultry trade through its members.

Milestones & Achievements
• Early partnerships: IPC signed agreements with the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) in 2008, and later with FAO and other international bodies to strengthen regulatory alignment.
• Observer status with Codex Alimentarius, sustainable livestock initiatives, and adoption of antimicrobial stewardship principles.
• Launch of the Global Data Platform and publication of the first global macroeconomic indicators report on the poultry industry, giving members data-driven insights for strategy.
• IPC’s role in the TRANSFORM initiative, where more than a dozen major stakeholders committed to antimicrobial stewardship and sustainable practices.

Looking Ahead
As IPC enters its next chapter, it has already unveiled a refreshed logo and launched a new, more intuitive website, symbols of renewal and renewed ambition.
In 2025, IPC reflected, celebrated, and built momentum at its Annual Meeting in Casablanca, Morocco, as the global poultry community gathers under the theme: growing the future.
