IPC at Krajowa Rada Drobiarstwa – Izba Gospodarcza Annual Meeting

Nicolò Cinotti, Secretary General of the International Poultry Council, last week took part to the annual meeting of Krajowa Rada Drobiarstwa – Izba Gospodarcza.

At the meeting, Nicolò spoke about the global perspective of the poultry sector and the key challenges and opportunities shaping its future, including:

➡️ The poultry sector’s role in the global nutritious food cycle and its contribution to efficient protein production.
➡️ Feed sustainability, with a focus on major inputs such as corn and soy and their importance for resilient supply chains.
➡️ Antimicrobial resistance as an impactful challenge, and the importance of a One Health approach across human, animal, and environmental sectors.
➡️ The growing need for credible sustainability measurement and the importance of avoiding greenwashing while improving transparency.
➡️ Shifting public-health and consumer trends, including rising demand for protein and how changes in diet and new health trends may reshape consumption patterns.
➡️ The evolving policy and regulatory landscape and the importance of collaboration across regions.
