A historic milestone for Colombia and the global poultry sector.

The International Poultry Council congratulates Fenavi on achieving a remarkable milestone: Colombian chicken has reached Japan for the first time.

This first-ever export — carried out by Cargill — marks a new chapter for Colombian poultry and underscores international confidence in the country’s high standards of quality, safety, and animal health.

The achievement reflects years of collaboration between Fenavi, Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario – ICA – , and Invima Colombia, demonstrating the power of partnership between industry and government to open new markets and expand global trade opportunities.

👏 This is not only a success for Colombia but a win for the entire poultry community, proving that with dedication, science-based practices, and strong institutions, our sector continues to grow responsibly and sustainably.

Congratulations to all the producers, technical teams, and partners who made this possible.
