🗓️ World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week: 18–24 November 2025
💡 Theme: “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future”

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is not a distant challenge, it’s a global threat already affecting human health, food systems, the environment, and economies.

This World AMR Awareness Week, the International Poultry Council reaffirms its commitment to responsible antimicrobial use and a One Health approach to tackling AMR.

AMR requires action from every sector — human, animal, and environmental. Each of us must lead where we have knowledge, responsibility, and control.
For IPC and the global poultry sector, that means taking decisive action in the animal domain, where we can make the greatest impact.

Across the poultry value chain, from breeding to processing, our members are implementing practical solutions to protect animal health, safeguard food safety, and ensure public trust.

Building on the momentum of the 2024 UN High-Level Meeting on AMR, IPC encourages all stakeholders to turn commitments into tangible, measurable action.

Our shared responsibility by leading in our sector is clear: to preserve the effectiveness of antimicrobials and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.
